CO2 International Corp. is an Environmental Consultant Management Team for The “Clean Development Mechanism” (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) certification
C02 International Corp. have designed a specific service to enable countries, organizations, companies and individuals to take full advantage of the CDM process for completion of Environmental Projects. These projects are intended for the benefit of the Earth, the Country and the Developer. The CDM is based on clean energy grants.
The clean development mechanism was designed to meet a dual objective:
1. To help developed countries fulfill their commitments to reduce emissions.
2. To assist developing countries in achieving sustainable development.
Stage 1 – Preliminary Project Design and Formulation
Stage 1A – Project Identification Note (PIN)
Stage 2 – National Approval by the Host Country – Designated National Authority for an (LOE) Letter of Endorsement
Stage 3 – Negotiation of Purchase Agreement of the Greenhouse Gases Generated by the Project.
Stage 4 – Validation and Registration of the Project Activity
Stage 5 – Project Monitoring
Stage 6 –Verification/Certification of the Project Activity (By the UNFCCC board of managers)
Stage 7 – Transfer of Emission Reduction. The project may commence with specific deadlines.
NOTE: The first four stages take place prior to implementation of the CDM project. The last three stages are during the period of accreditation or useful life of the project.
We are a dedicated Team of Entrepreneurs who seeks to be a part of the World's solution to Green House effects on our Planet. We have special interest in the UNFCCC mandate to empower Companies worldwide to reduce our carbon footprint.
Our Clients are Countries, Organizations, Companies and Individuals who understand the urgency of developing and converting current Methodology and Technology to cleaner sustainable "Green" energy Systems. Do you have a New "Green" Technology? Do you want to convert your existing business to a reduced carbon footprint Technology? If you answered yes, then you should contact us for a Private Consultation on how you and your Organization can benefit from our services.
allows a country with an emission-reduction or emission-limitation commitment under the Kyoto Protocol (Annex B Party) to implement an emission-reduction project in developing countries. Such projects can earn saleable certified emission reduction (CER) credits, each equivalent to one tonne of CO2, which can be counted towards meeting Kyoto targets.
The mechanism is seen by many as a trailblazer. It is the first global, environmental investment and credit scheme of its kind, providing a standardized emissions offset instrument, CERs.
A CDM project activity might involve, for example, a rural electrification project using solar panels or the installation of more energy-efficient boilers.
The mechanism stimulates sustainable development and emission reductions, while giving industrialized countries some flexibility in how they meet their emission reduction or limitation targets.
Allows a country with an emission reduction or limitation commitment under the Kyoto Protocol (Annex B Party) to earn emission reduction units (ERUs) from an emission-reduction or emission removal project in another Annex B Party, each equivalent to one tonne of CO2, which can be counted towards meeting its Kyoto target.
Joint implementation offers Parties a flexible and cost-efficient means of fulfilling a part of their Kyoto commitments, while the host Party benefits from foreign investment and technology transfer.
The project monitoring is designed to measure and calculate the emission reduction generated by the project . The project operator implements the monitoring plan in accordance with the CDM/JI guidelines to ensure proper procedure adherence according with the plan submitted to the CDM/JI for the total duration of the project (10/21 years) The monitoring element is an external entity and is not an integral part of the project (outside body). If there is no baseline methodology/monitoring plan applicable to the project, the CAF develops a new methodology adapted to the specific activity. The methodology must be submitted for approval to the CDM Executive Board, which has developed standard formats for submission of both methodologies.
The baseline study (CDM-NMB) establishes a methodology to define the scenario that represents the anthropogenic emissions by source of greenhouse gases, which would occur in the absence of the proposed project. The study also defines how to establish that the project is additional and does not form part of the reference base scenario.
The monitoring plan (CDM-NMM) sets out the methodology for collecting all the relevant information needed to determine the emissions generated in the baseline, measure the emissions generated by the project, leakages and finally, the emission reductions achieved by the project.
Project Owners benefit the most from our services. Not only can you receive a financial grant for your Organization, but you also get to be on the leading edge of "Green" Technology and services, which will make your Company more attractive to the public than Carbon polluting Companies. Most importantly, as the world governments begin to implement the Paris Agreement, Companies worldwide will be compelled to reduce their carbon footprint or pay increasingly growing carbon taxes.
There are several fees and hard costs associated with the CDM/JI process for certification. We have streamlined these costs to minimize the out of pocket expenses as much as possible to our clients. Contact us for a No Obligation Consultation on how to get started.
CO2 International Corp. accepts a clients Project. The client becomes the “Project Owner”. CO2IC prepares the CDM project and registers the project under the UNFCCC. Each project has a defined time line once the project has been established. This will be determined upon project engagement. Once the CDM has been approved and funded, CO2 International Corp. (or an affiliated Agency) begins the monitoring phase for the 10-21 year period including yearly review as an independent body in order to approve the yearly carbon emission reductions.
